Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon believes he has more to give, another gear to take him from good to spectacular.
As is, he’s been good enough to become the only player in franchise history to begin a season on an 11-game points streak. And, he’s the NHL’s only player to produce a point in every game. But MacKinnon seeks the kind of greatness that goes beyond numbers.
He seeks dominance, with and without the puck on his stick, and regardless of how many points he produces.
“I feel like I’m improving, which is good,” MacKinnon said Sunday.
