Losing another right winger to injury wasn’t a problem for Avalanche top-line center Nathan MacKinnon and left winger Gabe Landeskog.
MacKinnon had another multi-point night and extended his points streak to six games on Saturday at Ball Arena, and Landeskog scored twice with two assists in Colorado’s 4-1 victory over Central Division rival Minnesota.
MacKinnon assisted on Colorado’s first two goals and watched from the penalty box on the third as the Avs won for the third time in four games and improved to 4-4. Landeskog opened the scoring in the first period and added an empty-net goal in the final minutes.
