Nashville will be without one of its best players Friday when the Predators host the Avalanche in a Stanley Cup playoff elimination game.
Predators right wing Ryan Hartman was issue a one-game suspension Thursday as a result of his hit against the Avs’ Carl Soderberg in the third period of Game 4 on Wednesday, which Nashville won 3-2. According to the NHL Department of Player Safety, Hartman made clear contact with Soderberg’s head when contact was avoidable. He was issued a minor penalty, which set up a 5-on-3 opportunity for the Avs, leading to their first goal of the night.
