Morning Flurries: No Longer Undefeated

The Colorado Avalanche were the last remaining undefeated team in the NHL a full two weeks into the season, but that ended Wednesday night on national television.

Due to the Altitude TV blackouts, many Colorado area fans haven’t been able to watch their team play yet this season. The first time they did, though, wasn’t the best outcome. The Avs fell in overtime, as Brandon Tanev of the Pittsburgh Penguins scored the game winner to send Colorado home with a 3-2 loss and just one of a possible two points. Philipp Grubauer had 30 saves, but wasn’t able to secure the victory.
