Morning Flurries: First cuts and a scrimmage from Avalanche camp

Related Topics: Colorado Avalanche

Following the third day of training camp, the Colorado Avalanche announced their first set of cuts. It is a bit surprising to move ahead with four releases before the weekend is over especially with several missing forwards but the focus of this year’s camp is clearly on the battles for open roster spots.

Neal Shea, Briley Wood and Garret Pyke are already signed to AHL contracts and will report to Colorado Eagles camp. Max Curran is returned to the WHL with Tri-City’s season already underway.

We have announced the following transactions:

Neil Shea, LW, Briley Wood, C, and Garrett Pyke, D have been reassigned to the Colorado Eagles American Hockey League camp.
