Morning Flurries: Avalanche lose, Vinny Lecavalier and the Save of the Year

It was a rough Saturday night for your Colorado Avalanche. The Avs lost to Carolina 3-1 to lose their second straight on this road trip while dropping the sixth of their last seven games. It was a lackluster performance all around. Tyson Barrie was the best player on the ice for the Avs while Semyon Varlamov made 32 saves, proving he is all the way back from his injury.

This game was further proof that this team just doesn't have enough firepower without Nathan MacKinnon. The Avs will look to avoid going 0-3 on the road trip with a game tonight against the Sabres.
