Former Colorado Avalanche forward Milan Hejduk is one of six individuals to be inducted into the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2016, it was announced on Tuesday.
Hejduk was with the Avalanche organization since the Quebec Nordiques selected him in the fourth round (No. 87 overall) of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. He broke into the league with the Avs as a right wing in 1998 and was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team for the 1998-99 season.
During his 14-season career with the Avalanche, he ranked second in franchise history for games played (1,020), fourth in goals (375) and points (805), fifth in assists (430) and is the all-time leader in franchise overtime goals (nine).
