The 2019 playoff run was a war for the Colorado Avalanche and none of the top players were playing completely healthy. Gabriel Landeskog came back early from his injury that kept him out of the back end of the season. Nathan MacKinnon busted his shoulder in Game 7 against the San Jose Sharks. And today we learned that Mikko Rantanen fractured his right foot in Game 6 and fought through the pain to play in Game 7.
A whole month after the final game of the series was played, we heard a rumor from a Finnish sports reporter (Jouni Nieminen) that the Avalanche were hiding the foot injury.
