Right winger Mikko Rantanen skated on his own in a red non-contact sweater before Wednesday’s morning skate, but that’s the extent of the Avalanche’s good news on the injury front.
Colorado will again play without Rantanen and five other key players in Wednesday night’s game against the Anaheim Ducks at Pepsi Center.
Rantanen, who went down Feb. 17 against Tampa Bay with an apparent shoulder injury, will miss his eighth straight game Wednesday. The Avs will also continue on without forwards Nazem Kadri (12th game), Matt Calvert (nine) and Andre Burakovsky (three), defenseman Cale Makar (two) and goalie Philipp Grubauer (nine).
