ST. PAUL, Minn. — Avalanche trading-deadline acquisitions Mikkel Boedker and Eric Gelinas went through the morning skate with their new teammates Tuesday, and as anticipated Boedker was on a line with Nathan MacKinnon and Gabe Landeskog, and Gelinas was in the third pairing with Chris Bigras.
That all was in advance of Colorado's potentially pivotal meeting with the Minnesota Wild Tuesday night at the Xcel Energy Center. The Avalanche, sitting in the second Western Conference wild-card playoff spot, leads the Wild by two points.
"It's really exciting to come to a team that's capable of making the playoffs and is in the playoff race, and hopefully I can help and make sure that we grab a hold of that wild-card spot," said Boedker, acquired from the Arizona Coyotes.
