It all started on Tuesday, ahead of the Colorado Avalanche’s 4-0 win over the Philadelphia Flyers, when Adrian Dater said via Twitter that he is expecting a Matt Duchene trade this year, after talking to GM Joe Sakic. At the time, Duchene was struggling to produce offence, so trade rumors are a totally natural development. Since then, however, Duchene scored three goals, added two assists, tying him with Jarome Iginla for the Avalanche goal scoring lead — a perfect response.
Still, as Sakic told Dater, he is willing to listen on anybody — including Matt Duchene.
