His participation in this year’s Worlds marks the first time that Lindholm will represent his country at the tournament.
The Skelleftea, Sweden, native has played in 18 contests for his country’s junior national teams. He skated in eight games for the Sweden U20 team in 2013-14, scoring one goal and recording one assist while also serving as team captain and also found the back of the net once and added a helper in four contests for the Sweden U19 team in 2012-13. The defenseman played in six outings for Sweden’s U17 team in 2010-11 as well.
This year, Lindholm played in 30 regular-season contests for Skelleftea AIK and registered four assists.
