NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Pavel Francouz continued his stellar play between the pipes Saturday night, making 30 saves to lead the injury-depleted but suddenly red-hot Avalanche to a 3-2 victory over the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena.
Colorado got goals from Gabe Landeskog and Martin Kaut within 2:15 late in the second period in taking a 2-0 lead, then another in the third period by Erik Johnson, and then hung on to extend its winning streak to six games and points streak to seven.
Nashville’s Viktor Arvidsson scored on a breakaway with 5:20 to play and the Predators had a disallowed goal with 3:14 to go because of goalie interference; Colin Blackwell was escorted to the penalty box after colliding with Francouz as Dante Fabbro’s shot went in the net.
