Even When they're close, they're so far away. The Avs dropped their fourth in a row against Vancouver Monday night. This time it was a late delay-of-game penalty by Cody Goloubef that cost them in what was otherwise a rather close game. Close as it was, the Avs still had to play catch-up all night, asking Calvin Pickard to keep them in the game, only to never take advantage and allow the Canucks the winning power play goal. These things have become the trend for the Avalanche, however, as they have now lost nine of their last ten.
