Forward Gabriel Bourque has been re-signed by the Colorado Avalanche on a one-year deal, the team announced Thursday.
Bourque, a fifth-round selection in the 2009 draft by Nashville, recorded five goals and six assists for the Avalanche in 58 regular-season games and scored twice against the Predators in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The 27-year-old wore Nathan MacKinnon‘s “A” designating him as an alternate captain for a number of games this season when MacKinnon and Blake Comeau were injured.
“Gabriel brings leadership and a veteran presence to our team,” Avalanche general manager Joe Sakic said in a news release.
