Colorado Avalanche captain Gabe Landeskog has been suspended three games for a cross-check Wednesday on Anaheim Ducks defensman Simon Despres.
Landeskog hit Despres in the side of the head with his stick in a game Wednesday night at Pepsi Center, and officials from NHL Player Safety handed down the suspension Thursday.
Landeskog was suspended for two games in November for a hit to the head of Boston's Brad Marchand.
