Wearing an orange no-contact jersey, Avalanche captain Gabe Landeskog skated hard on his own before the Avalanche’s Monday practice and then remained on the ice to take part in the first part of practice before heading to the dressing room about 20 minutes in.
He hasn’t played since Nov. 15 because of a lower body injury. He resumed skating Saturday and Avalanche coach Jared Bednar then said he hoped Landeskog would make enough progress to make the four-game road trip that begins Tuesday night at Nashville. As the Avalanche practiced, it appeared that plan was in motion, though being ready to play against the Predators would seem to be a longshot.
