Gabe Landeskog read 9-10 books, spent months of quality time with his wife and young daughter, and found ice time in Toronto to train during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
But there was something about being back on the Avalanche’s Pepsi Center ice on Monday.
It was something normal — skating with a handful of teammates. It was something different – back in the arena for the first time since March 11. And he said it was something “awesome” — one day closer to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
“It was some positive news, which was really exciting,” Landeskog said on a media call Tuesday night.
