The Avalanche returned to the NHL norm last week, reinstituting on-ice work at its annual development camp at the Family Sports Center in Centennial.
For three days, the 19 prospect skaters — mostly Colorado choices from the past three NHL drafts — were divided into three groups for off-ice work then separate one-hour on-ice sessions, spending much of that time taking instruction from Toronto-based skating coach Tracy Tutton.
"We're a team that wants to get faster," said Avalanche director of development David Oliver. "There's no better place to start than here and with her.
