The Avalanche’s quest to bolster its forward depth continued Tuesday with the team announcing a one-year deal with forward Tomas Tatar.
The 32-year-old Slovak will add a scoring punch to Colorado. He tallied 20 goals and 28 assists for the Devils last season, and has scored at least 20 goals in seven of his 12 seasons in the NHL.
“Tomas has been a consistent, productive player throughout his NHL career,” Avalanche general manager Chris MacFarland said in a news release. “He is a veteran winger who brings scoring depth to our middle six and can contribute at both ends of the ice.
