NHL players won’t be participating in the Winter Olympics, but plenty of players with Avalanche ties will be lacing up their skates in Beijing.
Here’s a look at who they are and what team they’re representing at the Games:
Canada
- D Mark Barberio: The 31-year-old defenseman played in Colorado from 2017-20. He tallied 25 points (six goals and 19 assists) in 113 games for the Avs.
- D Brandon Gormley: The 6-foot-2, 196-pounder was acquired by Colorado from Arizona in a blueline exchange for Stefan Elliott in 2015. He recorded one assists in 26 games.
