The ninth-annual Dawg Bowl charity hockey tournament begins Friday at the Edge Ice Arena in Littleton, and there will be no shortage of autographs given out and stars in action.
Benefiting adult hockey players facing catastrophic illness or injury, this event coincides with the NHL draft — but that won’t deter many of Colorado’s biggest hockey names from participating.
The 44-team tournament includes the Platinum division, and those competing in the top loop comprise of many of the best current or former NCAA, major-junior or NHL players in the region. The “Mainline West Top Dawgs” features former Avs Paul Stastny, Kyle Quincey, Jan Hejda, Brett Clark, John Mitchell and Aaron MacKenzie.
