Following Thursday’s game, forward Freddie Hamilton and defensemen Mason Geertsen, Duncan Siemens and Mat Clark were reassigned to the San Antonio of the American Hockey League. Among them, Clark was the only one to play in one of Colorado’s two preseason games. He played in Tuesday’s 5-4 OT win over Anaheim. No surprise that those four players were reassigned. But most of us figured Geertsen and especially Siemens would get a preseason game, or two. Siemens, the 11th overall pick in 2011, is still just 22.
