Denver, CO — Last night the University of Denver lost their first game of the year after a 12–0 run to start the year. Arizona State University took down the number one team in the polls for eight straight weeks with a score of 3–2. Last week, Denver beat their conference North Dakota, and ranked ninth in the nation. Zeev Buium (MIN) scored his first career hat trick and, as of Friday, was in a three-way tie for most points for a defenseman. Tory Pitner, the Colorado Avalanche’s draft pick from this summer, scored an assist and his first collegiate point as well.
