The Avalanche has begun its first of two on-ice sessions Friday morning at Family Sports Center. The first group wraps up at 10:15 am and the second one begins at 10:45 am, ending about 12:15 pm. This schedule runs daily through Monday. Camp is open to the public and free on a first-come basis.
THREE THINGS TO WATCH FRIDAY:
— Goaltending. Five goalies are in camp but the two vying for the Avs’ starting job are the ones to watch. Friday marks the beginning of the Semyon Varlamov vs. Philipp Grubauer competition.
