Rookie winger Mikko Rantanen still was with the Avalanche and practiced with the team Monday.
Veteran winger Curtis Glencross wasn't and didn't.
Three days before Thursday's regular-season opener against the Minnesota Wild, the Avalanche confirmed the release of Glencross from his professional tryout, reducing the roster to 25, counting Jack Skille, who isn't on the official roster because he's on a professional tryout.
That also included center Jesse Winchester, who will go on the injured list with concussion symptoms, so it's expected that Colorado will make only one more cut to get down to the regular-season roster limit of 23.
