The Douglas County Coroner’s Office has completed its autopsy on former Colorado Avalanche winger Marek Svatos, but additional medical studies and investigation still needed could lead to examination by a neuropathologist, said Jill Romann, the coroner.
Because Svatos was an athlete who could have suffered head trauma, she is considering an examination of his brain.
Tests that remain to be done include examination of tissue, toxicology and other exams. If any of those tests suggest possible brain damage, a neuropathologist could be called in, Romann said.
