Brandon Beaver envied what he saw inside the Philadelphia Flyers’ practice facility last month.
The Falcon resident and captain of the Colorado Warriors could feel the devotion surrounding the Philadelphia Flyers Warriors in their Nov. 7 championship game in Voorhees Township, N.J.
Beaver, a Purple Heart recipient, even heard it, too.
“The entire Flyers team was on the end boards banging on the glass and chirping us,” Beaver said. “It was awesome.”
It was a big event — the national championship for the USA Hockey-backed Warrior Hockey Discipline, a league composed entirely of disabled veterans from the Armed Forces.
