Fans flocking to the Colorado Avalanche’s Stanley Cup parade and celebration in Denver on Thursday should plan to arrive early and be prepared to navigate crowded city streets with road closures and public transportation detours and delays.
City officials expect more than 200,000 revelers will attend the downtown parade along 17th Street, from Union Station to Civic Center, and the following celebration centered in Civic Center Park, with the Stanley Cup champion Avs taking center stage on the steps of the Denver City and County Building.
