Colorado Avalanche to retire Milan Hejduk’s No. 23

Earlier this morning, the Colorado Avalanche announced that on January 6, 2018, the team will retire No. 23 in honor of the second captain in franchise history Milan Hejduk.

Hejduk played his entire 14 season career with the Avs. He trails only Joe Sakic with 1020 game played and his 375 goals places him 4th in franchise history. His will be the 6th number retired by the team joining 19, 21, 33, 52 and 77.

As a special offer to Avs fans, the team is offering cheap tickets ($23) to the game on January 6 to see the retirement ceremony.
