The Colorado Avalanche have extended UFA-to-be right-defenseman Mark Alt to a two-year contract. Alt was acquired through waivers by the Avalanche on February 26th from the Philadelphia, but didn’t play until the last two weeks of the season. In 15 games spread across both organizations, Alt had zero points, a 48% shot-attempt ratio, and a 45% expected goals ratio.
Alt’s contract is two-way, meaning he will make less if he passes through waivers and is sent down to the Colorado Eagles. His cap hit will be $725K over the next two years in the NHL.
