It’s been a tough year for Andrew Hammond. Three years removed from his run with the Ottawa Senators, during which he was coined the “Hamburglar” after the McDonald’s character, and after some uncertainty, he’s found himself in the middle of his new team’s playoff aspirations, and with the Colorado Avalanche’s 2-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers last Thursday, to some he played a part in setting those aspirations back a little.
But don’t count out the Hamburglar yet. And don’t put all the blame on him.
On the first goal, while Hammond lets Claude Giroux’s slapper go past him in a blind spot, it still goes by Nikita Zadorov.
