With the 16th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft, the Colorado Avalanche select right winger Martin Kaut out of HC Pardubice of the Czech Republic.
The first headline that comes to mind when talking about Kaut is from the NHL Draft Combine where Kaut had to be taken to the hospital in order to have surgery on his heart. That issue has been fixed for good and should not be a problem for him going forward.
Going back to the player, Kaut is a player described to have no real weaknesses to his game, he is an above-average offensive talent, and has some unique creativeness to him.
