DENVER — Injuries and scoring depth up front remains a concern for the Avalanche, which will continue to tinker with its third and fourth lines during this week's consecutive-night road trip through Calgary and Vancouver.
Second-year centers J.T. Compher and Tyson Jost remain out with concussion-like symptoms and veteran Sven Andrighetto is week-to-week with what could be a serious lower-body injury. Rookie forwards Sheldon Dries and A.J. Greer were recalled from the Colorado Eagles of the American Hockey League on Tuesday and they practiced with the Avs on Wednesday morning before the team departed for Calgary.
Dries, Greer and veterans Gabriel Bourque and Marko Dano are the fourth-line candidates after rookie Vladislav Kamenev was promoted to the third line with Alex Kerfoot and Colin Wilson.
