The Colorado Avalanche released the 2016-17 schedule on Tuesday.
The schedule features the latest start (Oct. 15) in franchise history. The previous latest start in Avalanche/Nordiques history was Oct. 11, 1984.
The Avs will play 17 home “weekend” games this season, including five Friday night games, nine Saturday games and three Sunday tilts.
