The Colorado Avalanche faced the Central Division rival Winnipeg Jets four times last season. They split the series 2-2. Unfortunately, the scoring was pretty lopsided — Winnipeg outscored Colorado 13-7.
Both of Colorado’s wins came in overtime. What’s more, both the Avs and the Jets excelled on home ice — both victories for each team came in their own building.
As with all scheduling last season, the series was a little weird. Colorado hosted Winnipeg in late November and early January. They then traveled up to Winnipeg twice in February.
