Six games into the season, the Colorado Avalanche has decided to make a couple of changes to the roster. After sending down Croatian forward Borna Rendulic on Tuesday, the club announced that Finnish forward Mikko Rantanen will follow while Swede Dennis Everberg receives another chance to prove his worth in the NHL.
The moves are anything but surprising. A day before Rendulic’s demotion, Colorado fans discussed whether Rantanen should stay or go down on social media. There was no consensus, but nobody seemed to really be opposed to such a move.
After an outstanding preseason, the 2015 first rounder failed to contribute on any given line.
