The Colorado Avalanche have some good news and some bad news right now.
First, the bad news. According to BSN Avalanche, the “Voice of the Avalanche,” Mike Haynes, has resigned from his television play-by-play announcer job with Altitude TV. Haynes has been with the organization since the very beginning first as a radio play-by-play announcer. In 2005, Haynes became the television play-by-play announcer, joining color analyst Peter McNab.
According to Avs insider Adrian Dater, Haynes’ reasons for resigning were unspecified, but that the decision was all his own.
