The Colorado Avalanche have agreed to a four-year, $14-million deal with J.T. Compher, to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman. The 24-year old forward will be entering his third full NHL season this fall. Last season, Compher produced career highs in goals (16), assists (16), and points (32) in 66 games. He also had four goals and six points in 12 playoff games.
Compher began the 2018-19 season on fire with three goals in his first five games before having his hot start derailed by a high-hit from Sam Bennett of the Calgary Flames.
