Colorado Avalanche John Mitchell’s Game-Winning Goal

The Colorado Avalanche finally beat the Minnesota Wild in the Pepsi Center. This is a feat the team hasn’t managed since April 26, 2014, Game 5 of the playoffs.

As I discussed in an earlier post, the game was a slow, Minnesota-trap style of hockey that put even Wild forward Zach Parise and Wild goalie Darcey Kuemper to sleep. The biggest excitement in regulation came when right wing Jarome Iginla finally got tired of the Minnesota Wild’s whining and roughed up Minny forward Jason Zucker.
