Colorado Avalanche prospect Jeremy Smithis a goal tender from Dearborn, Michigan. In 2007 he was selected in the 2nd round, 54th overall by the Nashville Predators. He spent the majority of his professional career, from 2009 to 2012, with the Predators’ AHL affiliate Milwaukee Admirals and ECHL Cincinnati Cyclones.
Jeremy Smith signed first with the Columbus Blue Jackets (2013) then the Boston Bruins (2014, 2015) on one-year, two-way contracts. Last season, because the Bruins had a surplus of goalies in their system, he split the past season between the Bruins’ AHL team, the Providence Bruins, and on loan with the Minnesota Wild’s Iowa Wild AHL team.
