With a great haul of eight new prospect from the draft, the Colorado Avalanche are set to open up Development Camp later this week. The camp will run from the June 25-29 at the Family Sports Center with the group moving to Fort Collins for a three-on-three tournament Friday evening.
This will be the first chance Avs fans get to see first round picks Bowen Byram and Alex Newhook up close. All eight of the prospects selected this past weekend will be in attendance, as well as a few undrafted invitees.
We expect a few more to be added to the development camp roster before Wednesday, but so far there is confirmation that Samuel Regis of the Rouyen-Noranda Huskies and Bryce Kindopp of the Everett Silvertips will be there.
