Colorado Avalanche gets a point, but falls in overtime to Anaheim Ducks

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Despite Jonthan Bernier’s stellar goaltending and two goals from rookie forward Tyson Jost, the Avalanche couldn’t hold a two-goal lead and lost 4-3 in overtime to the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday night at the Honda Center.

Ondrej Kase scored 1:34 into the overtime to give the Ducks the two points required to unseat the Los Angeles Kings for the third Pacific Division playoff seed.

The Avs, who took a 3-1 lead into the third period, settled for a point — enough to overtake St. Louis for the second Western Conference wild-card spot.
