Well, there’s always a sweep in the NHL Playoffs (don’t quote me on that), and this year’s came at the hands of the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks swept the Winnipeg Jets in the first round.
As a Colorado Avalanche fan, I have a love-hate relationship with the Winnipeg Jets, heavy on the hate. The Avalanche had a hard time with the Jets this season, going 2-2-1, with two of those games going all the way to the shoot out. Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog fought Jets captain Andrew Ladd. Winnipeg defenseman Dustin Byfuglein laid a huge check on Colorado defenseman Tyson Barrie, and was generally a pest.
