The Blackhawks’ rookie forward had a hat trick Sunday in a 5-4 overtime loss to visiting St. Louis. It was his franchise-rookie record third hat trick this season. “He’s had a really good year for us. Not too many guys are going to say in their first year they’re gonna get three hat tricks in a season. Pretty impressive,” Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville told reporters. Former Chicago great Steve Larmer previously held the rookie record with two hat tricks in 1982-83.
