The Colorado Avalanche’s AHL affiliate, the Eagles, visited the Larimer Humane Society in Loveland for Colorado Gives Day. As the name suggests, Colorado Gives Day is a statewide movement to increase charity via online donations.
Well, the Eagles took it several steps farther by actually going for a visit to the animal shelter and promoting the visit on their Twitter.
The Larimer Humane Society has been a non-profit staple in Loveland for 50 years. They have dogs, cats, and other animals up for adoption. In fact, the Eagles visited some of those “other animals” in the form of rabbits:
In 2019, the Larimer Humane Society has reunited 1,587 pets with their families, placed 2,824 pets in homes, and provided 126,460 meals for pets waiting to be re-homed.
