The Colorado Avalanche will start into training camp next month. Obviously, there are always locks and favorites to make the team, while minor league players and prospects have an outside shot. This year, the Avalanche’s prospect depth looks great, but only few seem to have a real shot.
One year ago, the Colorado Avalanche’s training camp featured 60 skaters and seven goaltenders, while only 23 players can be on the roster on opening night. This year will be no different. All 60+ players will have at least a little bit of hope to make it, but less than half actually will.
