The Colorado Avalanche's 2015-16 regular season schedule was released by the NHL on Thursday. The Avs open their season on Oct. 8 at home against the Minnesota Wild.
The highlight of the season will be the team's Coors Light NHL Stadium Series outdoor game against the Detroit Red Wings on Feb. 27. The game takes place at Coors Field — the first-ever outdoors NHL game in Colorado.
The season ends at home against Anaheim on April 9.
