The Colorado Avalanche are on Day 4 of the NHL-mandated pause of the season because of the COVID 19 pandemic. No hockey (or any other sports) is being played professionally or at the collegiate level to hopefully slow down the transmission of the highly contagious disease.
The NHL is said to be monitoring the situation very closely while making contingency plans for still awarding the Stanley Cup this summer. Well, unfortunately, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a recommendation of cancelling or postponing any in-person events of more than 50 people… for the next eight weeks.
