Macaire Mousseau, widow of iconic local hockey referee Butch Mousseau, was the grand recipient, winner in Dawg Nation Hockey Foundation’s sixth annual Dawg Bowl. Macaire and her three children received a $175,000 check on Saturday from the organization that provides aid to hockey families suffering from catastrophic injury, illness or death — and on Sunday her team won the women’s division in a shootout.

The tournament was held at The Edge Ice Arena in Littleton and among the players were former Avalanche defensemen Ken Klee, Brett Clark and Aaron McKenzie. Some of the best (and not-so-talented) hockey players in the region competed in the biggest charity tournament of its kind in Colorado.
